Many of Japan's deep-sea longline tuna fishing boats are particular about the season and fishing grounds in pursuit of deliciousness. However, the number of tuna fishing boats is decreasing year by year, and according to OPRT (Organization for the Promotion of Responsible Tuna Fisheries), the number of registered longline fishing boats in Japan was 467 in 2001, but 154 in 2022. It has decreased by nearly 70% in about 20 years.

If this situation continues, it is possible that the industry will cease to exist, and one of the things TOREI can contribute to putting the brakes on the decline in the number of longline fishing vessels is to "provide truly delicious tuna at a fair price that will be appreciated by consumers." We need to build a system like this," and started Tenjo Maguro brand activities.
