Human Rights Policy

We believe that respect for human rights is fundamental to conducting business globally. Recognizing that our business activities may cause or contribute to adverse human rights impacts, we will promote our efforts to respect human rights in our business activities under this Policy. We will also work together with all our stakeholders directly involved in our business operations to support this Policy and respect human rights.

● Basic approach

We respect the human rights (internationally recognized human rights) mentioned in the International Bill of Human Rights (Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Covenants on Human Rights) and the Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work of the International Labour Organization (ILO). We also support the International Bill of Human Rights (Universal Declaration of Human Rights and International Covenants on Human Rights), the Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work of the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. Under the UN principles, we will promote our efforts to respect human rights.
In cases where there is a discrepancy or conflict between internationally recognized human rights principles and the laws and regulations of each country or territory in which we operate, we will seek ways to honor internationally recognized human rights to the maximum extent possible.

● Scope of application

This Policy applies to all persons working for Toyo Reizo Co., Ltd . This Policy is shared with our group companies, and we will work together to ensure our adherence to this Policy, as well as to respect human rights throughout our business operations.

● Human rights due diligence

We will establish a system to identify potential adverse human rights impacts concerning our business operations and avoid causing or contributing to adverse human rights impacts through our business operations.

● Correction and remedy

When we determine that our business activities have caused adverse human rights impacts, we will prevent, mitigate and remediate such impacts and take appropriate corrective or remedial action.

● Education and capacity building

To promote our efforts to respect human rights in our business activities, we will provide the necessary training and capacity building to ensure that all stakeholders directly involved in our business operations understand the importance of respecting human rights and put it into practice.

● Information disclosure

We ensure transparency by appropriately disclosing information on our efforts to respect human rights and their progress.

● Governance and management system

Our human rights efforts are overseen by the officer in charge of compliance and the officer in charge of the Strategy Planning Department and, depending on their nature, put forward or reported to the Board of Directors.
