Social Contribution Activities
TOREI values its connections with the local community and is actively involved in a variety of social contribution activities, such as sponsoring and participating in the Shimizu Port Tuna Festival, accepting tours from elementary, junior high, and high schools, and cleaning up the local community and natural environment.
Partnership with Shimizu S-Pulse
Shimizu S-Pulse, a member of the Japan Professional Football League (J.League), has as its basic philosophy "Sharing dreams, excitement, and pride," and continues to take on the challenge of giving dreams to young boys who love soccer while contributing to the development of the local community and the promotion of sports culture. As a company founded in Shimizu, TOREI has been a partner and supporter of Shimizu S-Pulse, which calls its hometown Shimizu, for over 20 years. This long-standing partnership is based on a deep empathy for Shimizu S-Pulse's basic philosophy and the players' attitude of continuing to take on challenges, as well as a desire to grow together and contribute to the development of the local community.

[Shimizu Plant] We welcome elementary school students on social studies field trips.
We have been running this program for over 30 years since it began in response to a request from an elementary school to "see the fishing industry in action!"To date, over 10,000 elementary school students have visited the facility. With the aims of "food education," "spreading fish-eating culture," and "stimulating interest in the fishing industry" in mind, the participants actually observed tuna being landed and experienced an ultra-low temperature refrigerator at -50 degrees. This dynamic program will teach you how tuna gets to your plate. We will continue to convey the excitement and challenges of the fishing industry through social studies field trips, and contribute to the hands-on education of children who will be the leaders of the future.

[Head Office] We are conducting a corporate blood donation campaign to bring smiles to our faces.
In fact, 40% of all blood donations come from corporate blood donation activities. However, after seeing reports that corporate blood donations had plummeted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and that there were areas experiencing a shortage of blood for transfusions, an employee came up with the idea and decided to implement a corporate blood drive, as this would contribute to the stable provision of medical care. We received positive feedback, such as "It's hard to find time in my private life, but I can easily participate," and many people expressed a desire for the program to continue. TOREI will continue to hold corporate blood donations in the future, in order to bring smiles to people's faces after donating blood.

[Tohoku Branch] Community-based environmental activity "Nanakita River Clean-up Campaign"
At TOREI, we volunteer to clean up local areas as a part of our social contribution activities in each branch area. Every year, the Tohoku Branch participates in the Nanakita River clean-up activity organized by Izumi Ward, Sendai City. Although the event is held on a holiday and participation is by volunteers, many employees, from new recruits to veterans, and even those with their families, gather together and interact with local residents. We will continue to contribute to the local community and work to raise environmental awareness.
